Serious question for Boomer anons

(not being discriminatory, but younger anons never lived in the age before [they] took such control, so dont have a basis of experience):

Will the news outlets ever go back to the Cronkite days of just reading the facts, or is the genie too far out of the bottle? Would a generation, who has never lived in an age without computer and cell phone, accept this type of low-key reporting? What are your thoughts?
