The Three Mile Island accident occurred on March 28, 1979, in reactor number 2 of Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station (TMI-2) in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg. It was the most significant accident in U.S. commercial nuclear power plant history. The incident was rated a five on the seven-point International Nuclear Event Scale: Accident with wider consequences.

In 2017 it was announced that operations would cease by 2019 due to financial pressure from cheap natural gas.

good find Anon…VERY GOOD

and the engine DID NOT explode - something destroyed the cowling (intake) and 1 blade was gone. IF that blade was ingested into the engine - the engine internals would have been completely destroyed.

1 BLADE is missing…why was it not sucked into the engine?
