Texas is a microcosm of the rest of the US. If multinational corporations run American politics, they do so unapologetically and out in the open in Texas. Frankly my patience with "capitalism" is rapidly fading over the months. Commies are awful people with terrible solutions, but our current system just seems like a scam for anyone that's not privileged enough to be part of the 'in' crowd.

So to have a "free market" you have to wipe out any and all other economic systems? That's the same argument marxists use to justify dismantling society.

As it seems to turn out, real life examples of economic systems don't strictly adhere to the classroom definitions of what they're supposed to be. I've never lived in or known anything other than a scam, so until it's proven to me that there's something, anything else I will continue to believe it's all a scam regardless of what people want to call it.
