That's because so many churches, denominations, and "christian" cults, have adopted the false Jesuit futurist eschatology, centering around a far-away coming of an antichrist. They came up with that lie (along with preterism where they said Nero was the antichrist), in order to point away from the Papacy as being the antichrist, as the non-Romish Christians, and later the Reformers (Catholics seeking to reform their church) were saying for centuries.

Folks say stuff like that doesn't matter, that it's not a salvational issue. True, but look at the great manipulation to which it leads.

The Revelation had commenced shortly after it was given to the Apostle John, 'and has been unfolding throughout history since then. and will conclude with the second appearing of Christ Jesus.

Futurist eschatology is a dollar short and a dollar late.

More than likely it was both. If it were an attack, then carrying it out in two locations would have increased the odds of POTUS getting it, plus sicken his staff to weaken him even more, perhaps also Pence, so Nasty Nancy could step in and save the day.
