Local news ran a couple reports on Barbara Bush. The only clips they showed were of two former CIA agents praising her. One even saying that, "she was the most engaging and warm person I've ever met..I was deeply saddened…she represented the values I hold so deeply". Both acted as if they knew her quite well. It seems highly unusual for someone simply married to George Bush and not even working for the agency to only have ex-spooks making comments to the news. How involved was she with the CIA? Could she have been the one actually running things?
