Check it out - this Illinois district saw a sudden 2,923 new sealed indictments in August, and another 2,616 in September. This one district accounted for most of the country's significant increase in monthly sealed indictments - from an average of 6,000 or so, over the last three years, to almost 10,000 each in August and September 2020.
