I used to have an FAC in the late 80s, before they clamped down on rifle imports you could buy an item such as

Wish I had kept up the renewals on the FAC, it’s more restrictive now to get anything more lethal than a BB gun.
Back then you needed to renew your license to keep the guns, of course there was no registry so they didn’t know what you had unless they did a spot inspection.
Today if the gun is legally registered they normally can’t confiscate it without legal cause.
Of course if you allow your license to lapse they you can’t take those guns out at all and they might be able to confiscate your weapons.

Part of the license includes permission to transport to the firearm legally to places like gun ranges of this isn’t permission to carry or conceal carry like in the US.

I've been doing so in my limited circle, I get looked at like I grew a 3rd eye on my forehead.

I think the info war is taking a toll on me, when I saw the leaked 2030 plans of the Liberal party it triggered a wave of anxiety and fear I hadn’t felt since the mid ‘80s in the height of tensions in the Cold War.
People who know me irl say I’m like Mr.Spock, I tend to be quite analytical and show few emotions.
