evil is drawn to power. An example of evil influence in the catholic dogma is the system of indulgences described in wiki link below. martin luther beat this particular sin of the church using a new method of free speech communication, in the same way that this board is defeating some of the evil influence in the power structure of the US government.

To say that the catholic church is entirely evil, though, is, to me, the same as saying the entirety of the USA is evil.
