State Dept. officials told they broke law by monitoring Americans during Ukraine scandal

Revelation undercuts impeachment testimony; conservative watchdog claims coverup.

State Department officials were explicitly ordered in spring 2019 to stop tracking 13 prominent Americans' social media accounts for information about the Joe Biden-Ukraine scandal because the monitoring violated federal law, according to emails that were originally redacted to hide the concerns from the American public.

"We are barred by law from actively monitoring the accounts of American citizens in aggregate — and particularly from identifying and monitoring individual, selected accounts," a State Department official wrote in an April 1, 2019 email to officials in Washington and the U.S. embassy in Kiev

The unredacted emails, obtained by Just the News, raise new questions about the accuracy of State Department officials' testimony during President Trump's impeachment proceedings. They also provide a window into how the department used redactions in a Freedom of Information Act case to hide the potentially explosive information just weeks before Election Day 2020.

The emails show State Department officials under Trump openly worried a year before the 2020 election that the emerging storyline that Vice President Joe Biden may have engaged in a conflict of interest by presiding over Ukraine policy while his son worked for a corrupt Ukrainian gas company might prove to be "the mother load [sic] and main thread to play out, possibly thru Nov. 2020."

The illegal monitoring was, in fact, ordered specifically to counter that narrative as well as another storyline that involved the liberal megadonor George Soros, the newly unredacted passages of the emails show.

The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch first raised concerns earlier this year that the U.S. embassy in Kiev run by then-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch had created an "enemies list" by ordering the monitoring of social media accounts of prominent Americans last year when the Ukraine scandal about Joe and Hunter Biden first surfaced.

After a protracted legal fight, the State Department released memos to the group last month confirming the embassy did in fact monitor the accounts of 13 Americans, including Fox News personalities Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Lou Dobbs, the president's son Don Jr., his lawyer Rudy Giuliani as well as this reporter, whose articles in The Hill first shined a light on the Bidens' possible conflict of interests in Ukraine.

The April 1 email was among those released, but it was heavily redacted to hide the statements showing the monitoring was ordered shut down specifically because it violated the law.

US, Russia to Suspend Probe Into Russian Uranium Imports for 20 Years, Commerce Dept. Says

The United States and Russia have extended a deal to suspend the antidumping investigation into Russian uranium imports for another 20 years and at the same time reduce US reliance on Russian uranium, the Commerce Department said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The US Department of Commerce and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation, have signed a final amendment to the Agreement Suspending the Antidumping Investigation on Uranium from the Russian Federation. This amendment extends the Agreement through 2040 and reduces US reliance on uranium from Russia during that time period", the statement said.

The antidumping investigation was originally suspended with a 1992 agreement that set a 20 percent limit on Russian-supplied uranium to the United States. That agreement was to have expired on 31 December 2020.

The Commerce Department said the 20-year extension announced on Tuesday will drop the number of Russian imports to 15 percent of the US supply in 2028.

In addition, US companies will be allowed to honour pre-existing contracts to purchase uranium from Russian companies, it added.

Hamilton vs. Burr

As I mentioned in my recent paper on Alexander Hamilton’s Genius, America’s first U.S. Treasury Secretary killed by Aaron Burr (aka: the father of Wall Street) in 1804, was indispensable in the young nation’s survival during the first 30 years after 1776. Even though it hasn’t been taught in any western university in generations, Hamilton’s system of political economy which arose from his four reports of 1791 was premised on the practices of 1) national banking, 2) productive credit generation for long term internal improvements, 3) industrial growth (vs slave-based production) and 4) protective tariffs. Most importantly, this system set “economic value” not upon the worship of money but rather on the creative mental activity of citizens through constant scientific and technological progress.

Between 1776 until his death in 1804, Hamilton used every ounce of his influence to ensure that the many traitorous movements launched by diverse branches of British operations in America (including from his own Federalist Party), and often under the leadership of arch-traitor Aaron Burr, failed to achieve their goals. These operations which included Canadian United Empire Loyalists, New York financiers and southern slave interests, can collectively be defined as the “founding fathers of today’s deep state” which evolved over the years and took over much of the nation after the death of Franklin Roosevelt.

This new plan involved British soldiers working alongside American mercenaries under Burr’s employ who would first take full control of Louisiana, New Orleans, expand the territory by declaring war on Spain. According to testimonies delivered at Burr’s trial, Burr would then turn his attention to the capital where the sitting president would be deposed, and Burr established as Monarch of a new British American confederation. Prevost gave Burr letters of introduction to Lord Castlereagh as he embarked on a ship from Nova Scotia to London where Burr stayed at Jeremy Bentham’s mansion for the next 5 years and, in between heavy doses of opium and prostitutes, plotted with the highest echelons of British intelligence a new scheme for the dissolution of the Union (Bentham was the head of British Intelligence Services in those days and extended networks across the globe).

While in London, Burr wrote of Bentham (the pervert who wrote such immoral tracts as In Defense of Usury and In Defense of Pederasty): “He is, indeed, the most perfect model that I have seen or imagined of moral and intellectual excellence. He is the most intimate friend I have in this country, and my constant associate. I live in his house and compose a part of his family.”

Asha Rangappa, an analyst for CNN and a former special agent for the FBI, tweeted a thread on Tuesday in which she said, “We have a biological terrorist in the White House.” This follows President Donald Trump returning to the White House on Monday evening after treatment for the Coronavirus at a military hospital and the news that more senior White House and military officials testing positive for the virus.

In defending her claim, Rangappa cited a Justice Department memo stating back in March that the novel Coronavirus “appears to meet the statutory definition of a biological agent” and that those who engage in the “purposeful exposure and infections of others” could be charged for terrorism-related offenses.

While there are some allegations that he knew about his positive diagnosis significantly earlier than he had announced it on Thursday evening, there is no certifiable evidence that he knowingly exposed officials and staffers to the virus.

A Series Of Car Bomb Explosions Rocked North-Eastern Syria

At least two car bomb explosions took place in Syria’s Aleppo province in the last 24 hours.

Late on October 5, a car bomb explosion took place in the city of Afrin. A booby-trapped car reportedly exploded on Jandaris road of Afrin next to the store that sells gas.

According to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least five people were injured in the bombing. No casualties have been reported yet.

It is not the first explosion in Afrin. The last one was reported on October 1. A car bomb was detonated in Afrin city center in the vicinity of Nowruz roundabout, causing some material damage.

Another explosion took place in Syria’s city of al-Bab on October 6 at noon.

A car bomb exploded near the al-Othman mosque in the city center. According to the first reports, at least 7 people were killed and 20 people were injured. Clashes between pro-Turkish armed groups erupted after the explosion.

Afrin and al-Bab remain under the control of the Turkish forces and Ankara-backed Syrian rebels.

The Afrin Liberation Forces, an armed group affiliated with the mainly-Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), are active in the region. This group regularly conducts attacks on the Turkish Army and Turkish proxies in the region of Afrin. The car bomb explosions could be a response to the Turkish-backed forces artillery shelling of SDF positions in the Ain Daghnah and near Shahba dam.

That is the reason why pro-Turkish sources accused the YPG of conducting bomb attacks. However, ISIS can also be the main suspected. Unlike the YPG and its allied groups, which focus their attacks on mostly military targets, ISIS is known to conduct the terrorist attacks targeting civilians.

Other recent developments in Syria include:

An SDF member was killed in the Dhiban village by the unknown gunmen;

SAA artillery shelled Turkish-backed forces positions in the villages of Bara and Kansafra;

US-led coalition sent an arms convoy to US military base in the Omar oil field;

Louisiana Governor Declares State of Emergency

Gov. John Bel Edwards on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in advance of Hurricane Delta, which is forecast to make landfall in South Louisiana on Friday or Saturday.

The Governor will host a Unified Command Group meeting this afternoon, followed by a media briefing at 3 p.m., which will be streamed at gov.louisiana.gov. The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness’ Emergency Operations Center will begin 24 hour operations on Wednesday.

Hurricane Delta is currently a Category 4 storm and will enter into the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday, with wind speeds greater than 130 miles per hour. While it is currently projected to weaken a bit before landfall, it may be a Category 3 storm and significant impacts are expected. Wind, rain and surge will likely be substantial.

“Hurricane Delta is an incredibly dangerous storm that will bring heavy winds, rain and life threatening flooding and storm surge to coastal Louisiana. Everyone in South Louisiana should pay close attention to the weather in the coming days and heed the advice and directions of their local officials. Now is the time to make preparations for Delta’s impacts,” Gov. Edwards said. “All of Louisiana’s coast is in the tracking cone, and we are well aware that impacts can be felt outside of the track.”

“We have seen an active hurricane season already, with a devastating hit in Southwest Louisiana from Hurricane Laura. It would be a mistake for anyone in Louisiana to let down their guard. Be prepared,” Gov. Edwards said.

Can AI Detect Disinformation? A New Special Operations Program May Find Out

Air Force, U.S. Special Operations Command fund year-long effort to train a neural net to rank credibility and sort news from misinformation.

For all the U.S. military’s technical advantages over adversaries, it still struggles to counter disinformation. A new software tool to be developed for the U.S. Air Force and Special Operations Command, or SOCOM, may help change that.

“If you don’t compete in the information space, regardless of how good your operations are, your activities are, you will probably eat a shit sandwich of disinformation or false reporting later on,” Raymond “Tony” Thomas, a former SOCOM chief, said in an interview. “We certainly experienced that at the tactical level. That was the epiphany where we would have good raids, good strikes, etc. and the bad guys would spin it so fast that we would be eating collateral damage claims, etc. So the information space in that very tactical space is key.

It even “stretches to the strategic space,” said Thomas, meaning that disinformation can spread until it affects larger geopolitical realities.

Thomas now serves as an advisory board member for Primer, a company that on Thursday announced a Small Business Innovation Research contract to develop software over the next year to help analysts better—and much more quickly—survey the information landscape and hopefully detect false narratives that show up in the public space.

Primer’s neural network technology can scan large amounts of text and extract themes and other information based on the frequency and prominence of words and phrases. It’s the sort of thing that can be very useful if you have a lot of text you want to very quickly summarize in an accurate headline, a capability they demonstrate here. To train their headline-writing neural net, they used a corpus “of millions of publicly available document-title pairs: news articles and headlines” according to their paper on the subject.

The new contract will help Primer to build a platform “to automatically identify and assess suspected disinformation,” according to a press release from the company. “Primer will also enhance its natural language processing platform to automatically analyze tactical events to provide commanders with unprecedented insight as events unfold in near real-time.”

I knew going in, with my first interview with brilliant journalist Greg Hunter, I would receive a significant amount of attacks from Q followers for questioning their oracle. Of course this happened. It increased with my subsequent Twitter posts exposing, “Q” and with interviews I have done since then. Real investigative journalism does not kiss up to a mob, nor is it afraid of retribution. Over 2,000 LA County Voters Received ‘Faulty’ Ballots with No Way to Vote for President

Over 2,000 voters in Los Angeles County received “faulty” ballots which lacked a section to vote for the President of the United States, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office confirmed on Monday.

According to the Los Angeles Times, roughly 2,100 voters received the flawed ballots, missing the section to cast a vote for the office of the presidency. The outlet reported that the ballots were primarily confined to those in the Woodland Hills area.

“I’ve always been an in-person voter, so I wasn’t even planning on looking at the ballot until the day I was going to vote,” Woodland Hills resident Christy Gargalis said, explaining that she compared her ballot to her husband’s and sister’s ballots — both of which were missing the section to vote for the president as well.

“Something told me that this was a different election, a different year, and I just had to check my ballot, and I’m glad I did,” she said, adding that her “neighbors on Nextdoor all have the same problem.”

The massive error follows the executive order Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) issued in May, requiring the state to send all registered voters absentee ballots ahead of the November 3 election. He used the Chinese coronavirus as the primary reason to send ballots to roughly 21 million people in the Golden State.

“Elections and the right to vote are foundational to our democracy,” Newsom said at the time. “No Californian should be forced to risk their health in order to exercise their right to vote.”

“Today we become the first state in the nation to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by mailing every registered voter a ballot. We are meeting our obligation to provide an accessible, secure, and safe election this November,” California Secretary of State Alex Padilla said of the plan.

“Sending every registered voter a ballot by mail is smart policy and absolutely the right thing to do during this COVID-19 pandemic,” Padilla added.

Michael Sanchez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County clerk’s office, apologized for the “mistake” regarding the botched ballots but added that it “impacted a very small number of Los Angeles County voters.”

“We are now in the process of alerting all affected voters in this precinct of the error by robocall and email, and tomorrow morning we will be mailing out new, corrected ballots with a letter describing the error,” Sanchez stated.

The “faulty” ballots serve as the latest example of vote-by-mail irregularities, feeding fears over the growing potential for mass fraud and error associated with mass mail-in voting. Hundreds of voters in New York’s Nassau County recently received ballots with the wrong oath envelope, attributed to a “printing error.” Meanwhile, the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is investigating after mail was stolen out of multiple collection boxes in the state.

“I don’t have any information whether the boxes contain any sort of election mail,” USPIS Inspector Michael Romano said in a statement.

“If we have any indication that it is, sort of, election fraud related, we are going to work closely with our counterparts at the Federal Bureau of Investigation to determine what type of theft we have and aggressively investigate this case,” he added.

Texas – Tyler County indicted Netflix for “promotion of lewd visual material depicting child” for airing “Cuties.”

Netflix picked up “Cuties” out of Sundance from director and writer Maïmouna Doucouré after it won an award earlier this year, according to The Wrap.

The description of the movie claims it’s about an 11-year-old (presumably Muslim) girl who breaks with her family’s traditions to join a twerking crew in hopes to find stardom at a local dance contest.

“Amy, 11 years old, tries to escape family dysfunction by joining a free-spirited dance clique named “Cuties,” as they build their self confidence through dance.” – Netflix said in its description.

The girls starring in the movie are prepubescent or in the early stages of puberty.

Netflix is sexualizing children.

Republican Senators such as Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz have called on the DOJ to charge Netflix after distributing the film “Cuties,” that “appears to sexually exploit children and endanger child welfare.”

The charge stems from the release of the “Cuties” documentary, which was released back on September 9, followed an 11-year-old who followed a dance crew.

The documentary sparked controversy with its depiction of young girls. Texas Senator Ted Cruz called for a criminal investigation into the film earlier this month, calling it a “pornographic film.”

White House Posts H-1B Visa Reforms to Help American Graduates Get Good Jobs

The administration has announced reforms of the H-1B visa-worker program to help American graduates get many of the U.S. jobs that Fortune 500 CEOs are now giving to compliant and cheap foreign graduates.

“This is a truly huge announcement … with a tremendous positive impact for American workers and our economy,” said Ken Cuccinelli, the acting deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The regulations will be posted as soon as October 6 and will go into effect by October 8.

For example, officials said, the Labor Department will require H-1B workers to be paid at least 45 percent of the prevailing wage levels, sharply up from the 17 percent level in current rules.

The rule will also target the H-1B staffing industry, for example, by setting a one-year term for H-1Bs imported by staffing companies. “The vast majority will be rejected,” predicted one official.

The rule will largely implement President Donald Trump’s 2016 promise to “end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program.”

The rule will be “effective 60 days after its publication in the Federal Register.”

“The changes that go into effect immediately will ensure that U.S. companies will use H-1B workers to augment our domestic labor force, not replace it,” said a statement from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

“Millions of American workers who are in crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic applaud the changes being implemented by Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia and Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf,” stated Dan Stein, president of FAIR.

Nationwide, U.S. CEOs employ roughly 1.3 million foreign graduates in jobs needed by new American graduates and experienced U.S. professionals. Many of the foreign workers are compliant and cheap, in part, because they are hoping to get valuable green cards in exchange for the work. This “Green Card Economy” is expanding from software and science jobs into health care, accounting, and other careers, so crowding out Americans, reducing technical quality, and slowing technological innovation.

Federal budget 2020: Tax cuts for high income earners slammed

Wealthy Aussies will have their pockets lined even further under the new Budget, while those out of work have been left out in the cold.

The government claims controversial tax cuts included in Tuesday’s Budget will save the Aussie economy – but critics say it will do little more than reward the rich.

In his 2020-21 budget speech, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg confirmed that more than 11 million taxpayers will get a tax cut backdated to July 1 this year, claiming the policy would generate “billions” of economic activity, create 50,000 new jobs and help small business stay afloat.

The hotly-anticipated budget measure will provide tax relief of up to $2745 for singles and up to $5490 for dual income families compared with 2017-18 as Stage Two of the government’s legislated tax cuts are brought forward by two years.

The 19 per cent threshold will also be lifted from $37,000 to $45,000, and the 32.5 per cent threshold from $90,000 to $120,000.

“In last year’s Budget we promised the Australian people tax relief so that they could keep more of what they earn. We delivered,” Mr Frydenberg said on Tuesday night.

“Putting more money into the pockets of hard working Australians strengthened our economy to respond to this economic crisis. Tonight we go further again.”

But the tax cuts have dominated headlines for days now – and generated massive backlash from critics who claim wealthier Australians will benefit while those who are genuinely in need will miss out.

Australian Council of Social Service CEO Dr Cassandra Goldie has been one of the most vocal critics of the plan.

ACOSS has long argued for the government to permanently raise the JobSeeker rate, which is due to revert back to its pre-coronavirus level of just $40 a day in 2021.

Dr Goldie voiced the tax cuts could fail to boost the wider economy, and that raising JobSeeker would have been far more beneficial for vulnerable Aussies and Australia’s finances alike.

Operation Warp Speed is Using a CIA-Linked Contractor to Keep Covid-19 Vaccine Contracts Secret

$6 billion in Covid-19 vaccine contracts awarded by Operation Warp Speed have been doled out by a secretive government contractor with deep ties to the CIA and DHS, escaping regulatory scrutiny and beyond the reach of FOIA requests.

Last Tuesday, while most Americans were distracted by the first US presidential debate, NPR quietly reported that the US government’s Operation Warp Speed, a public-private partnership launched by the Trump administration to rapidly develop and distribute a Covid-19 vaccine, had taken the unusual step of awarding contracts to vaccine companies, not directly, but through a secretive defense contractor.

Though NPR named the defense contractor—South Carolina–based Advanced Technology International—they declined to explore the company’s deep ties to the CIA, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense and how ATI is helping to lead those agencies’ efforts to militarize health care and create a surveillance panopticon that not only monitors the world around us but our physiology as well.

The “secret” vaccine contracts awarded through ATI as part of Warp Speed total approximately $6 billion, accounting for the majority of Operation Warp Speed’s $10 billion budget. Both Paul Mango, Health and Human Services’ deputy chief of staff for policy, and Robert Kadlec, HHS assistant secretary for preparedness and response (ASPR), personally signed off on the contracts.

Operation Warp Speed, which officially involves the combined efforts of HHS and the military to deliver over 300 million Covid-19 vaccines to Americans by next January, is a highly secretive program dominated by military personnel, most of whom have no experience in health care or vaccine production. The Trump administration has often compared Warp Speed to the Manhattan Project, which produced the atomic bomb.

Several very unsettling revelations about the true nature and scope of Warp Speed, including the out-sized role of ATI, began to emerge starting last Monday. Yet, most of this new information was not covered by US news outlets due to the media frenzy surrounding the first presidential debate and the subsequent news that President Trump and several other politicians and White House officials had tested positive for Covid-19.

NPR noted that the decision to use a nongovernment intermediary like ATI to issue the coronavirus vaccine contracts, as opposed to the government itself directly awarding those contracts, allows Operation Warp Speed to “bypass the regulatory oversight and transparency of traditional federal contracting mechanisms.” This means that, among other things, the vaccine contracts awarded under Operation Warp Speed are unlikely to be publicly released in the near future, if ever.
