I use inkscape for most of my caps work

its free and open source vector image editor

 

but, what you see there was done with:

its an extension for Chrome

and its based as fuck

allows me to make caps quick as fuck

you take the screen cap (or crop a section of the screen)

then it gives you a basic edit page

where you can mark it up

then it saves, and you can download the .png

 

its literally epic

have you tried inkscape anon?

 

I have gimp dled but have never tried to use it

learned inkscape so its what I use

 

if you have tried both, how does gimp compare?

 

I hear its like comparing photoshop with illustrator
