"Jason Gelinas lived a normal suburban life with a plum Wall Street gig. He also ran the QAnon conspiracy theoryโ€™s biggest news hub.

Those who know him say Gelinas was a pleasant guy who was into normal stuff: Game of Thrones, recreational soccer, and so on. Things did get weird, though, when politics came up.

Gelinas drifted to the right after the 2008 election, friends told @businessweek, despite having registered as a Democrat in the runup. He became immersed in conspiracy theories before founding QMap, a website that helped QAnon gain mainstream attention with 10 million visitors a month.
