Just got here but saw that LAST BREAD there were questions about the

LIVE TOWN HALL on Baking Seminar Thread tomorrow night @7pm ET.

Baking Seminar #35, >>>/comms/31580

Why we're holding the discussion in the Baking Class thread:

  1. We've been having LIVE discussions there since Feb and it's proven to be a great place to just talk about baking in a lowkey, comfy environment.

  1. Shills and spam who only seek to disrupt the discussion can be kept out. BO Rusty's policy is to promptly delete spam or posts designed to disrupt and temporary bans thedisrupters (usually just the class is over).

  1. There is no reason not talk there. There is nothing at all wrong with /comms/ board despite what has been said recently. It's an board long used for practice baking by anons and baking discussions by bakers. There has never been any problem with that until recently. OSS has a gripe with comm's BO Rusty, that's all. Such gripes are common on the chans but are between individuals.

  1. The baking class thread has always been a "can-do" thread, so it's a good place to work out problems. Focus in on how we can become better bakes and have been comms with non-bakers, especially when on duty. Also look at how we've done things in the past and ask whether traditional approaches need tweaking.

Got questions? Fire away.

(Not replying to shills tho - keep yer Q's to yerself, kek!)

The purpose of this town hall is to have an open and friendly discussion.

What you circled in the cap is refers to the policy of ensuring that shills are not allowed to disrupt the discussion with spam or obvious shillery. An example of spam would be to post "hahahahahaha" as a block over and over again. STuff like like will be deleted and the spammer temporarily banned (just for the duration of class).

We warn spammers first before banning tho. Seldom a problem tho. After 35 clases,we've only had to "kick out" posters or ban spam about 3 times.

Does that answer your question?
