My heart is with you anon. There are a fair number of people making it through this time without much suffering but there are also many like you. It does seem like some of the least deserving are doing pretty well. Maybe narcissism makes you immune.

For me, it's like Satan turned his eye on me about September of last year. Although I am grateful I have my health, in the past year, my husband of 22 years left me for another woman and in financial ruin and was lying to me for most of my marriage. I found out my brother had cancer and he passed only a month later on my birthday (WTAH?), I lost my job, and then on my way home from the grocery store, someone hit me from behind and totaled my six month old car. I still haven't found a job but for some reason I feel very hopeful and believe everything will be okay for all of us.
