Guise? What a good day. I had to take my dogs to Connecticut for a veterinary appointment. On the way home I saw a police cruiser part near an intersection. The officer was obviously watching traffic looking for people to nail at a busy intersection. I was in a bit of a hurry to get home but I was unfamiliar in the area and I took a wrong turn and ended right back near the cruiser.
so I decided to say "screw it" about my schedule and I pulled up next to the officer.
I wanted to give him a little encouragement, which is something I've been prone to do when I have the time ever since all this madness started.
the officer was wearing Sargent stripes. He said can I help you?
I said, "listen I know this is a little corny but ever since antifa has ripped our country to shreds I always feel compelled to stop and tell you guys how much my family and I love and support and appreciate you. It's a crazy world right now and I feel so sorry for anyone who is in law enforcement. I actually cry when I watch the YouTubers videos and I wish I could do something to help. So at least I want you to know that I'm praying big time and I would fight to defend you with my legal firearm, if that opportunity ever arose. We have your back, and millions of others do, too. Please don't ever get discouraged."
The sergeant then told me how much he appreciated me taking the minute to stop and tell him that mushy stuff. He said he almost quit law enforcement, altogether, because even though Connecticut is not as ripped up as other parts of the country, the job has changed so much this year, and only for the worse.
He also told me that every law enforcement officer he knows is supporting President Trump's re-election, and he thanked me and said I made his week.
I tell all you that just so you are encouraged, too. If all the Leos in blue blue Connecticut are behind president trump, this bodes very well for us.
Final point. If any of you pass a police officer and have a minute to spare, I bet and encouraging word or two from you would be just as encouraging to the police whom you encounter as it has been to the ones I've encountered.
As the old commercial used to say, "try it, you'll like it.". The police will love it.
Yes, it's mushy period but we are living in unprecedented times and these poor buggers need our support.
God bless the police and all first responders.
Thanks for listening, frens.
