This was about the election and the election only. They wanted to create so much unrest that the people soured on Trump. Not Trump per se' but that the people would be so overwhelmed with all of the drama that they would associate Trump with this horrible year and opt for anyone, especially a so-called stead hand that the media has propped up like never seen before.
