To be fair, missiles are not designed for kinetic kill. They are designed to lead the target signature and detonate, effectively, a claymore into the target's trajectory.
But there would be more damage than just the intake blade unraveling. There are many ways to sabotage a highly specialized alloy like turbine blades.
