Typical of Q, its not clear. Missile clearly seems like a Trident D5, which are not LOSBR. So was he referring to another missile that took it down? Or just missile fuckery in general? Or are we mistaken about it being a D5? Or is that just a way to connect posts together.

Re-watched Patriot Games last night, the second Jack Ryan movie. Harrison Ford plays Ryan.

Not nearly as good as Hunt for Red October, but what stood out to me was the fricking' TECHNOLOGY they were using circa 1992.

In one scene they go into the situation room to watch live satellite feed of a desert raid taking place in Libya. Night raid, thermal imaging, confirming kills from orbit, quiet helicopters, the whole 9 yards. As Clancy was known for his accuracy, its pretty astonishing to me they could do all that then.

As I recall from older digs, 687 was supposedly decommissioned, but the thinking was what if it was instead picked up by the CIA. This was also relevant around the time of an Argintine sub disappearance, fueling a theory that CIA had at least some submarine assets that were ballistic-missile-capable.

Yep that article is a great read. CCP personal at Chinese companies make sure an extra component gets include in a circuit board design. In PCB designs with hundreds or thousands of components, it goes completely unnoticed. Board is still function-qualified and passes all its tests. No one knows about the extra component except the CCP. Board gets sold on through the supplier chain to corporations, including into the MIC.
