TRINITY CO. HOSPITAL'S COVID-19 CLUSTER DETERMINED TO BE FALSE POSITIVES
TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - The Trinity County Public Health Branch is identifying a "cluster" of COVID-19 cases at the Trinity Hospital in Weaverville.
This after seven people initially tested positive there on Saturday, Oct. 3. Now the hospital says all seven specimens immediately retested twice with a rapid test and turned up negative.
They were also retested by Shasta County Public Health and LabCorp and again they came back negative. Hospital officials believe that the first specimens were contaminated during testing.
Action News Now has called the Trinity County Health Department twice to find out if the seven tested are staff or patients but have not yet heard back.
