Tehran accuses Washington of ‘economic terrorism’ after US sanctions major Iranian banks

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, has condemned US sanctions against Iranian banks as an act of economic terrorism, designed to create suffering and social unrest with the aim of regime change.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms, including state terrorism and economic and medical terrorism,” Takht-Ravanchi said at a meeting of the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly on Thursday evening.

He added that “to eradicate terrorism, once and for all, there is no choice but to use power and a multilateral approach and ensure close cooperation and coordination between the relevant stakeholders at the national, regional and international levels.”

According to the ambassador, imposing sanctions on Iran and other countries during the coronavirus pandemic is tantamount to terrorism, which has exacerbated general health conditions during the global crisis.

On Thursday, the US Department of the Treasury announced the blacklisting of 18 major Iranian banks in a new attempt to lock the nation out of the global financial system

DOJ slaps Yale with lawsuit over ‘at least 50 years’ of discrimination, claiming it put WHITE & Asian applicants at disadvantage

The US Department of Justice has sued Yale University for racial discrimination in its admissions process, arguing the school deliberately put Asian and white applicants at a disadvantage for decades.

Filed in the US District Court in Connecticut on Thursday, the lawsuit accuses Yale of considering race as a factor for admissions for “at least 50 years,” claiming the school has violated a provision in the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which bars recipients of federal funds from engaging in race-based discrimination.

“Yale’s race discrimination includes imposing undue and unlawful penalties on racially-disfavored applicants, including in particular most Asian, and white applicants,” the department said in its complaint, adding that the university has “engaged in this race discrimination despite receiving millions of dollars of federal taxpayer funding.”

The DOJ went on to argue that Yale’s admissions process features an “oversized, standardless, intentional use of race” which “injures” some applicants while giving an unfair edge to others.

Bill Barr Gives China Joe a Kiss: AG Tells GOP Leaders DOJ Investigation into Obamagate Scandal Won’t Be Released Until AFTER Election

Maria Bartiromo opened up her Sunday Morning Futures program in late September with the breaking news that US Attorney John Durham will NOT release his report before the 2020 election.

According to Bartiromo, a debate had begun within the Department of Justice as US Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation is concluding. Sources said it was now too close to the election for the release and it could be viewed as politically motivated.

Upon hearing the news Senator Ron Johnson erupted saying NOT releasing the report on Obama spying on the Trump campaign and the attempted coup of President Trump is a politically motivated decision.

Senator Johnson is right!

Not Making Headlines: President Trump is Doing Better in Battleground Polls Against Biden than He Did Against Hillary

President Trump is doing better in battleground states in 2020 against China Joe than he did in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.

And that is despite of the massive silent Trump voters.

After four years of name-calling, thuggery and street riots, Trump voters have much greater incentive to shy from pollsters this year than in 2016.

Interesting

Suspended Workers of US Agency for Global Media Sue New CEO Alleging Pro-Trump Agenda

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Five suspended media workers have filed a lawsuit against their former employer, US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), accusing the new leadership of having a pro-Trump agenda.

The lawsuit is primarily directed at newly-appointed CEO Michael Pack, accusing his team of routinely violating the editorial "firewall" that guarantees newsroom independence at outlets it funds, namely Voice of America (VoA) and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

The lawsuit accuses the Trump appointee of "insidious politicisation of journalism" and cites numerous examples of USAGM exerting pressure on journalists and editors to cover stories favourably toward the US president.
