Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did not leave a book, He left a Church. A Church of men who went and proclaimed the Gospel of Christ. Those men who knew the apostles and received training from them are the Church fathers.
You, being a protestant, are going to go off on a tangent on "call no man father" because you don't know how to read scripture, and are interpreting it falsely.
The scriptures were written by the Church fathers and given to you by the Catholic Church.
