PORTLAND, OR: "Two Portlanders appeared in federal court Wednesday on charges linked to an overnight protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building. The U.S. Attorney’s Office – District of Oregon said that Essence Sylvester, 18, and Alexix Richter, 20, were both arraigned Wednesday on misdemeanor charges of failing to obey a lawful order and disorderly conduct on federal property.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, both Sylvester and Richter blocked the entrance to the ICE building by lying across the entryway, stopping law enforcement vehicles from coming or going from the property."
