Consider the possibility that the more healthy survivors of this practice also propagate the idea that sexualizing kids is healthy; they "turned out fine", thus they believe others would as well.

Consider also the appeals of child stardom, child beauty pageants, etc., to parents who can be tricked into believing that pimping out their kids is good for their future.

These people are sick.
