‘The Swamp’: Debate Commission Packed With Trump Critics From Both Parties

The Commission on Presidential Debates is packed with critics of President Donald Trump from both parties.

Majorities of both the commission’s board members and chairmen are either Trump critics or former Democratic donors.

Former GOP Sen. Bob Dole expressed concern that none of the Republicans on the commission is a Trump supporter.

The leadership of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which organizes the general election debates, includes many Trump critics from both parties.

While the commission is officially nonpartisan and includes a mix of both Republicans and Democrats, it is overwhelmingly made up of members of the political establishment who are opposed to President Donald Trump.

Majorities of both the commission’s chairmen and board members include people who have either taken aim at the president in the past or donated to Democratic political candidates, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found.

Trump has butted heads with the commission over its decision to conduct the second debate virtually, which Trump cited as a reason to boycott the event.

“The people who make critical decisions about the country’s presidential debates—events that impact how Americans will vote or if they vote at all—are, for the most part, elites who are part of the D.C.-New York clique known as the swamp,” journalist Yashar Ali noted in his newsletter Thursday night.

Kenneth Wollack, one of the commission’s three co-chairs, donated to former President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show. Wollack, previously led a liberal think tank, previously donated to other Democrats, including Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, FEC records show.

Co-chair Dorothy Ridings, the former president of the League of Women Voters, also donated to Democratic candidates in the past, according to FEC records.

Just 59 Americans Have More Wealth Than Half the Country’s Population

The 59 Americans whose fortunes have ballooned amid the coronavirus pandemic now have more wealth than half the nation’s population, new data show.

The poorest 50 percent of Americans, or roughly 165 million people, collectively owned about $2.08 trillion in wealth in the second quarter of 2020, according to Federal Reserve data released last week.

That’s less than the net worth of the nation’s 59 richest billionaires, who have a combined fortune of about $2.09 trillion, Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index shows — a number that’s grown this year despite the COVID-19 crisis kneecapping the global economy.

You might have seen Presidential Debate Commission Co-Founder Frank Fahrenkopf on Fox News last night trying desperately to explain and justify why the presidential debates were randomly modified to be a virtual format.

However, a terrific deep investigative dive into the background of Fahrenkopf and the people who make up the debate commission reveals a scale and scope of ideology that is almost jaw-dropping in sunlight; and that research completely explains how and why this group has supported far leftist candidates for decades.

“The nominally Republican Chairman of Presidential Debate Commission, Frank Fahrenkopf, is both a co-founder and current board member of the International Republican Institute (IRI), a top “Color Revolution” propaganda outfit. The IRI was run by Never Trump neoconservative John McCain for decades. It is closely linked to the thoroughly discredited Steele Dossier at the center of the Russia Hoax.”

At first glance, it might appear as though Fahrenkopf’s Republican Party membership, combined with his board membership at the International Republican Institute, lends him, and by extension the Debate Commission, some semblance of balance.

The Debate Commission’s board has a Republican Co-Chair and a Democrat co-Chair, creating the appearance of fairness and bipartisanship. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bipartisanship in the Trump era all too often means that the corrupt establishment elements of both parties join arms to undermine Trump and his agenda. A Debate Commission consisting of John McCain and Hillary Clinton would be technically bipartisan, but it would not be balanced when it comes to Trump and his supporters. Globalist Republicans and globalist Democrats have far more in common with each other than they do with Trump.

Our choice of John McCain in this example was not arbitrary. As it turns out, the late Senator John McCain served as the Chairman of the Board of the International Republican Institute for 25 years.

Just months before he died, John McCain took to Twitter to scold the Trump Administration for allegedly defunding the organization.

Scott Morrison was sacked as Managing Director of Tourism Australia for financial fraud. Why should we trust him with our money now?

Prime Minister Scott Morrison was sacked by the Liberal Party in 2006 as Managing Director of Tourism Australia for likely fraud and theft. This is the same person who announced in the budget that Australia is set for at least a decade of deficits with government debt climbing to $1.7 trillion in 2031.

Australia now has a Liberal Party failure and fraudster, who personally oversaw the $100 million Sports Rorts scandal which is very similar to the fraud he ran at Tourism Australia, running the country at one of the most important times in Australia’s history.

There can be no doubt that numerous federal politicians will use the increased government spending to corruptly line their and their friend’s pockets and based on history Scott Morrison and his mates won’t miss out.

Scott Morrison’s sacking as Managing Director of Tourism Australia

In June 2019 I published an article titled “Looks like PM Scott Morrison was sacked as Managing Director of Tourism Australia in 2006 because of fraud and theft” which started off:

Prime Minister Scott Morrison was sacked as Managing Director of Tourism Australia in 2006 and he has always refused to say why. One thing is for certain, it had to be massive wrongdoing by Morrison. Why? Because Scott Morrison, who was State Director of the New South Wales Liberal Party from 2000 to 2004, was sacked by a Liberal Party Minister in the Liberal Party John Howard government and they don’t sack one of their own for a minor reason or even a major reason. Morrison’s sacking had to be something, at the very least, bordering on criminal and more than likely actual criminal conduct.

Since 2006 Scott Morrison has refused to answer questions about his sacking and little has been known about the reasons for it until now. Journalist Karen Middleton published an article on Saturday (8/6/19) which she spent 6 months investigating and to me it makes it clear Mossison was likely sacked for deliberate lies and deception in relation to the awarding of government contracts worth $184 million.

Thirteen years after Scott Morrison was mysteriously sacked from a senior public sector job as managing director of Tourism Australia, a six-month investigation by The Saturday Paper has created the clearest picture yet of the events surrounding his dismissal.

Documents obtained by The Saturday Paper under freedom of information laws show Morrison received a pay rise less than a month before he was sacked, taking his annual base salary from $318,031 to $332,030, with discretion for his employer to add up to 2.5 percent on top.

Around the time of Morrison’s dismissal, it was suggested he was paid out after having his contract terminated more than a year early. Sources have since confirmed this.

It was long speculated that the sacking was the result of a personality clash between Morrison and Bailey or differences over her plans to restructure the agency.

But late last year, The Saturday Paper uncovered an auditor-general’s report from 2008 examining the handling of three major contracts, which had delivered a scathing assessment of Tourism Australia’s management.

The report provided the first indication as to the real reason Morrison was removed.

The contracts were worth $184 million, and the auditor focused most on the two biggest – those with companies M&C Saatchi for global creative services or advertising campaigns, and Carat for media placement.

Several northeastern states are experiencing rising new coronavirus infection rates leading to concerns about a second wave later this year

White House coronavirus response task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx is warning that the Northeast is experiencing 'troubling signs' of a 'very different' style of coronavirus spread as temperatures drop in the region.

Birx said Thursday that fall's cooler weather in the region has led to coronavirus spreading faster within families and social groups, than in schools and workplaces where people are following precautions.

'What we’re seeing in the community is much more spread occurring in households and in social occasions, small gatherings where people have come inside, taken off their mask to eat or drink or socialize with one another,' Birx said Thursday at a roundtable discussion at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut.

Not Making Headlines: Alleged “Right-wing” Militia Member Arrested for Plot Against Gov. Whitmer Was Black Lives Matter Protester and Sympathizer

On Thursday the FBI announced during a press conference that it thwarted a plot by a so-called “right-wing militia” to kidnap and kill Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and overthrow the state government.

Early Thursday morning, federal agencies raided a house in Hartland, Michigan and arrested six men: Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta.

Whitmer immediately blamed the plot on President Trump telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”

“Hate groups heard the president’s words as a rallying cry, as a call to action,” Whitmer said blaming white supremacists.

It turns out Brandon Caserta, one of anarchists who was arrested for plotting to kidnap Whitmer, actually hates President Trump and is on video calling Trump a “tyrant.”

Governor Gretchen Whitmer owes President Trump and his supporters an apology.

This All-Electric Robotic Combat Vehicle May Accompany Army Units into Battle

Textron Systems announced Thursday that it will deliver an all-electric version of its M5 Ripsaw Robotic Combat Vehicle prototype to the U.S. Army for experimentation next year.

Earlier this year, the Army selected a Textron team to develop its subsidiary Howe & Howe's unmanned vehicle for the service's Robotic Combat Vehicle, or RCV, Medium platform.

The Army wants to develop a light, medium and heavy version of the RCV to give commanders the option of sending unmanned vehicles into combat against enemy forces. The service selected QinetiQ North America to build four light versions of the RCV.

Textron is scheduled to deliver four prototypes of its 10-ton M5, which resembles a lightweight tank powered by diesel and hybrid electric motors, by the end of the year.

The Army also recently selected Textron to deliver an all-electric M5 as the service moves closer to developing electric-powered tactical vehicles.

"It's a flat deck variant that we will be delivering for the all-electric version," Sara Willett, program director for ground robotics at Textron Systems, told reporters Thursday, describing how the all-electric M5 will not have a cannon turret like the standard M5.

Textron is scheduled to deliver the all-electric M5 sometime next spring, Willett said.

In September, Army Futures Command directed the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate at Fort Benning, Georgia, to begin developing requirements for electrifying the service's ground vehicles.

"One of the most exciting points of going all electric is the performance that we see," Michael Howe, senior vice president from Howe & Howe, told reporters.

The M5 is "astonishingly powerful" with two 900-horsepower hybrid electric motors and a diesel range extender, Howe said.

"This range extender is just a generator, so it goes into the vehicle itself and allows the vehicle to go … to an extended range of out to 300 to 400 miles," he explained.

The all-electric flat-deck platform "didn't need a range extender for the scientific and military testing that [the Army] are doing with the vehicle," he added.

"Essentially, it has the same exact power," Howe said. "We are really on the precipice of seeing advancement in electric technologies throughout the military, and the M5 is the spear tip for this."
