Quest Diagnostics takes care of more than one-third of US' lab tests and also processes specimens for Ancestry. They are the source of the DNA data being stored. It also has laboratories in India, Ireland, Mexico, and Brazil.

Florida recently stopped using Quest for COVID testing after it failed to report on 75,000 test results. In Canada, Ontario is sending COVID test specimens to Quest to help manage its workload. In Ireland, Quest previously provided false negative results for cervical specimens over multiple years; these specimens should have tested positive for cervical cancer, but they did not.
