Another consideration. COVID is real and is killing people, BUT only 6% of the reported numbers from COVID alone (CDC data). So 12k Americans have legit died from this virus. Not many in the overall scheme. If you are being truthful, and if your friend doesn't have comorbidities, then he simply pulled an unlucky card. Hate to minimize it, but shit happens.
