The absolute best thing you can do in your efforts is to continue to lurk, gather data from the constantly updated Q MAP, PDF, and other sources listed here, and release a "Final Work", if you will.
As another anon here stated, the "old guard" types usually work in disinfo and mischief in their contacts with reporters. It's part of the methodology of distinguishing between real "anons" and those that are attempting to disrupt their efforts on these types of boards.
