California Man Finds Mail-In Ballots in Santa Monica Trash Cans

A Santa Monica man found dozens of mail-in ballots and other important mail tossed into two trash cans in an alley last week.

The man called local authorities who are looking into the scandal.

Democrats are working overtime to make sure 2020 is the most highly contested election in US history.

They are pulling out all the stops to cast doubt on the US election process.

The Washington Examiner reported:

A California man said he found dozens of mail-in ballots in two trash cans.

“I opened the trash can, and I see a lot of envelopes and ballots, especially ballot envelopes in the trash can, and I knew right away that was not normal,” said Osvaldo Jimenez, who found the mail last Thursday.

The trash cans are located in Santa Monica and contained several dozen ballots, as well as other mail such as bank statements and bills. All of the mail was addressed to homes in the area.

“I thought it was somebody playing a prank,” he said. “Nobody’s going to throw ballot envelopes in the trash can.”

Jimenez alerted authorities to his discovery.

If it was my ballot in there I would want somebody to recover it,” Jimenez said. “Every vote counts, whichever party it is.”

Separately, authorities in San Bernardino County also reported two batches of discarded mail found on city blocks last week.

In Los Angeles, another person found discarded ballots near an ATM.

Gunman shoots guard outside Croatian govt offices in Zagreb, reportedly takes own life

A Croatian policeman stationed outside a government building in Zagreb was shot and wounded by a gunman. The suspect later killed himself, according to law enforcement officials.

An unidentified gunman opened fire at St. Mark’s Square in the Croatian capital on Monday morning using an automatic weapon, wounding a policeman who was part of a government security detail, according to local media reports.

Video published by a Croatian news channel shows emergency workers rushing to the officer’s aid and placing him in an ambulance on a stretcher. A small pool of blood can be seen on the pavement where he was shot.

The incident occurred near Croatia’s parliament building and government offices, as well as the country’s constitutional court. The unidentified shooter reportedly fired several shots at the parliament building before fleeing.

Police immediately launched a manhunt for the suspect, with helicopters scouring the area. A man matching the description of the shooter was later found dead by suicide, officials said.

The officer was taken to the hospital. Local media reported that he had been hit in the left arm and both sides of his torso but was in stable condition.

In response to the shooting, Croatia’s parliament has canceled all meetings. Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic was not in the building during the time of the attack but arrived at the scene later. In a statement, he said that Croatia has a “culture of openness” and that the shooting could prompt the government to “rethink” how it handles security.

Officials have launched an investigation in the hope of establishing a motive and understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Organizer of Brooklyn Orthodox Jewish anti-lockdown protest arrested, charged with ‘inciting to riot’

Jewish activist Heshy Tischler has been arrested and charged with inciting a riot and “unlawful imprisonment.” His charges stem from an Orthodox Jewish protest against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s coronavirus policy.

“Harold ‘Heshy’ Tischler has been charged with inciting to riot and unlawful imprisonment in connection with an assault of a journalist,” the New York City Police Department reported on Sunday.

A video of Tischler’s arrest late Sunday shows several officers taking the Brooklyn community activist and radio host into custody on the street.

This hardly came as a surprise since the activist himself teased his looming arrest in a video posted on social media. However, Tischler indicated that he would be arrested on Monday, rather than over the weekend.

Geoffrey A. Davis, president of the James E. Davis Stop Violence Foundation, a non-profit, tweeted on Sunday that “there was a clear understanding” that Tischler was going to turn himself in on Monday and that he was supposed to escort him to the station.

“Arresting him tonight was low and unhelpful,” Davis tweeted.

Tischler said that he would be surrendering to police amid accusations that he goaded participants of his anti-lockdown rally in Brooklyn on Wednesday to attack an Orthodox Jewish journalist – Jacob Kornbluh.

Tischler has repeatedly accused Kornbluh of being “a snitch” for drawing the authorities’ attention to violations of the coronavirus restrictions by the community.

At Wednesday’s rally, Tischler confronted Kornbluh yet again in a tense standoff. A video from the protest shows Kornbluh being mobbed and heckled by demonstrators, who called him a ‘moser’, a term for a Jew who informs on another Jew, as Kornbluh pleads with the protesters not to spit on him.

The Trump campaign and Tischler both denied involvement in the call. Tischler said he contacted the caller, who told him that he uploaded the audio message to WhatsApp to play a prank on his friends, and did not mean anything sinister.

British Airways CEO Alex Cruz steps down amid ‘worst crisis faced in industry’

British Airways (BA) Chief Executive Alex Cruz has stepped down from his role at the head of the airline with immediate effect.

Luis Gallego, the head of International Airlines Group (IAG) which owns BA, cited “the worst crisis faced in our industry” as the reason for Cruz’s departure, as the airline industry faces the unprecedented crisis wrought by the coronavirus pandemic.

“We’re navigating the worst crisis faced in our industry and I’m confident these internal promotions will ensure IAG is well placed to emerge in a strong position,” Gallego said of the leadership shake up.

Gallego praised Cruz for working “tirelessly to modernise the airline… through a particularly demanding period,” including by securing numerous restructuring agreements with “the vast majority of employees.”

Cruz took charge in 2016 and oversaw a number of changes during his four years at the helm. He introduced ‘buy on board’, which replaced complimentary in-flight catering in the economy section of short-haul flights. Cruz was also at the reins during the catastrophic IT failure in 2017 which saw thousands of passengers temporarily stranded, as well as the major data breach at the company in 2018.

During his tenure he faced strikes of cabin crew and pilots, as well as threats of industrial action amid job cuts announced this year. British Airways decided to slash 12,000 jobs from an overall workforce of 42,000 as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Sean Doyle, the former Aer Lingus chief executive, will now step up and assume the role of British Airways CEO according to a statement from IAG. Cruz will stay on as a non-executive chairman at the airline.

CNN’s Toobin: ACB Hearing ‘Being Held in the Middle of a Pandemic’ in a Hotspot — ‘So Surreal and So Dangerous’

CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin on Monday voiced his concern about the Senate Judiciary Committee holding Supreme Court justice nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Democrats have pushed back against President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee given he is in the final year of his first presidential term.

Toobin said on CNN’s “New Day” ahead of the hearing that the confirmation process is “being held in the middle of a pandemic” in what he called a “hotspot” because Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Mike Lee (R-UT) have both tested positive. He argued it is “so surreal and so dangerous” that members of the committee, some of which he noted are in their 80s, are “exposing themselves to this virus.”

“[T]his is a hearing being held in the middle of a pandemic in the middle of a hotspot. I mean, Tillis has COVID, Mike Lee has COVID, Lindsey Graham refuses to get tested, Chuck Grassley also on that committee, refuses to get tested,” Toobin emphasized. “I mean, this is so unbelievable that they are doing this. There are three members of that committee, Grassley, Pat Leahy and Dianne Feinstein, who are in their 80s who are exposing themselves to this virus.”

“I mean, the idea that they are doing this hearing now is so surreal and so dangerous that, you know, I think that’s worth mentioning, too,” he concluded.

Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT), one of the members Toobin expressed concern about because of his age, delivered his opening statement for the hearing remotely. Doctors cleared both Tillis and Lee to attend the hearings in person.

Make no mistake, the government’s reaction to COVID-19 — shutting down business, forcing people to state home, all the while granting monopolies to massive chains like Amazon, Walmart, etc. — has decimated the middle class and pushed the already-struggling poor that much deeper into despair. But you won’t see the owners of those monopolies complaining as they have seen their wealth soar to unprecedented highs.

As the rest of the country struggles to pay their mortgages, has their businesses shut down, and descends into poverty, COVID-19 for the super rich has been a record setting windfall. Four of the most controversial billionaires on the planet, have seen their wealth increase by over a combined $100 billion in just the last 10 months.

Since the COVID-19 lockdowns began, Jeff Bezos has seen his net worth shoot up by nearly $70 billion. Bill Gates, who has been embroiled in controversy and has somehow become the mainstream media’s go-to “expert” on COVID-19, has seen his net worth increase by nearly $10 billion. As his platform censors any information that challenges the establishment’s narrative on COVID-19, Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth increased by $20 billion. And, as his platform also censors information like Facebook, Larry page has seen his profits from Google add $5 billion to his net worth.

While these four people own a significant portion of all the wealth in the world, they are not alone. As Techspot points out, a study by Swiss bank UBS and accounting firm PwC found that at the start of April, global billionaire wealth stood at $8 trillion. By July, following the height of the coronavirus pandemic, it had reached $10.2 trillion. The previous peak was $8.9 trillion recorded at the end of 2017.

Josef Stadler, the head of UBS’s global family office department that deals directly with the world’s richest people, said: “Billionaires did extremely well during the Covid crisis, not only [did] they ride the storm to the downside, but also gained up on the upside [as stock markets rebounded].”

While getting rich is certainly not a crime, the means by which many of these tech and retail giants have made their gains are not exactly due to hard work. Through years of lobbying, these companies have positioned themselves in such a way that when the government uses taxpayer dollars to launch “stimulus” programs, the common man gets the crumbs that fall from the table while the super rich get that much richer.

As the super wealthy game the system to buy back stocks using government stimulus discounts, they are able to socialize their losses on the backs of the American taxpayer. That number is currently sitting at over $27,000,000,000,000 and counting.

Bin Laden’s Former London Spokesman to Be Let Back Into Britain

The London spokesman of Osama bin Laden is to be allowed back into Britain, having completed his terrorism sentences in the United States.

60-year-old Adel Abdel Bary, or Bari, an Egyptian national who was given asylum in Britain in the 1990s with the help of Amnesty International, will be released from federal prison in the U.S. in the coming weeks.

He was granted early release on compassionate grounds due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to The Times — as an older and excessively fat man he is considered at-risk.

Bary had been serving time for his role in the infamous U.S. embassy bombing in Kenya and Tanzania, which left hundreds dead and thousands wounded.

The Times reports that government ministers are “urgently reviewing the situation” and “All options remain on the table” — for example, simply requesting that the Americans keep Bary.

This is a proposal which the newspaper confirms, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Americans are “unlikely” to accept.

“This is not someone who will simply just be walking the streets of Britain again,” a Whitehall source tried to assure the newspaper.

“We are very alive to the risk involved in his potential return,” they added.

They also conceded, however, that the jihadist could not be subjected to a Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (TPIM) notice, which would restrict his movements, or a temporary exclusion order to keep him out of the country — because his sentence has already been served.

Moreover, even with the most stringent observation, the government cannot really guarantee the public’s safety, given convicted terrorists under active surveillance have successfully carried out attacks in Britain before.

Bary is a wanted man in Egypt, where he has been sentenced to death in absentia for his part in a plot to blow up a public market, but it is all but guaranteed that the British government will not extradite him to his native country, due to domestic and European laws which insist the British must take it upon themselves to shelter foreign terrorists who face the death penalty in the homelands.

His son, Abdel-Majed Abdel, is also a terrorist, having given up a rapping “career” in London to enlist with jihadists in Syria, where he was seen posing with a severed head in a social media post.

Abdel was arrested in Spain earlier this year.
