the people on the lowest level of this meme have the ability to speak loudly enough that everyone else can hear them.
We live in a DANGEROUS society in which control of the media IS THAT VERY THING. A large enough portion of the people on the bottom could be simultaneously no longer willing to holding up the pyramid but would have an almost impossible time communicating it to all the others, and/or convincing fence-sitters to join them, while the crushing broadcast ability of the media to cast counteractive spells against the effort dominated the airwaves, social media, ALL platforms controlled by [them].
