There is a great video from the manufacturer included in this video made by a real airline pilot of how these actual engines work. In both instances of Flight #3472 Aug 27, 2016 & Flight #1380 from the other day, the front of the air intake exploded, rather than the actual engine. In both cases a fin from the front intake fan/turbine was broken off and "caused" the explosion. It the video they show a test of an engine with explosives rigged to cause such an accident. Explain how the fins can snap with no explosion?
Also, I couldn't find a passengers list for Flight #3472 to see if there were any notable individuals on board in case it was foul play too…
