Texas schools were already failing before covid. Teacher lobby is so strong that education is no longer about kids, it's about coddling fat, drama mama teachers and perverts who dont teach. It is almost impossible to fire a teacher in Tx unless they are pretty much caught in the act of sexual or physical abuse of a student, but even then, schools will quietly let them just move on with the agreement that the school doesnt have to pay out the teacher contract. Texas ed needs major reform and teacher union needs to be broke.
