Also being a swanky hotel - it is potentially possible that they turn off the lights if there is a guest staying in said room? Or by request? I dont actually know, my experience with said swanky hotels is rather limited.

 

Also could there have been a block of bookings covering various floors? Just spit balling here .. Meet in the middle, people stationed abive and below?
