In light of what has been learned about the scaffolding on rooftop behind Big Ben, and the best dates drawn from the lunar and tidal info, what, if anything, prevents conclusions about latest that the Q EMB pics could have been taken?
As Anons have previously discussed, the EMB pics are likely connected closely in time to the CH pics. ROT3 is the third pic taken with the Traf CAM which appears to have rotated from left to right, pointing up the EMBANKMENT and panning to the Corinthia Hotel. So ROT3 can be counted as a CH pic due to its content rather than its filename or the series in which it was posted by Q.
ROT3 shows the bollards and islands in the same condition as in the other CH pics. The bollards changed after the fatal accident on 5-MAR-2014 AT 6:00AM. But how soon after?
We've discussed fudge room around that date. The temporary frame bollards - which fold open and stand on four legs - were in place by some time in MAY 2014, according to SV images. These frames are not difficult to setup, when on hand it would take a few minuts, and typically temporary signs are in place shortly after an accident has damaged permanent bollards.
However, in this case, two of the three bollard positions were already empty before the accident; and it was the third hooped style bollalrd, with two legs fixed into the pavement, that remained after the accident until replaced by permanet one-legged rebound bollard. So, did the City act as rapidly as previously assumed?
We do not yet have direct evidence to show when the frames were setup at the islands. Given how the previously damaged bollards had been left unreplaced for long stretches, and given that the 3rd and remaining hooped bollard stood its ground after the accident, it is plausible that no changes were actually made for weeks.
Now I do not wish to overstate the fudge time on this bookend. Yes, tempted to find some way to shoehorn the best dates from tidal/lunar info, but we have stuck to the pictorial evidence through thick and thin. We are very close to firming up this bookend quite nicely. What next might we dig to reconcile the EMB pic dating to the CH dating?
Which will inevitably return us to the conflict in the pictorial evidence for the bike hire stall at kerbside. But for now, we have good direct evidence for ROT3 as it is part of the EMB series. First task then is to confirm for ourselves that the connexion between ROT3 and EMB pics is rock solid. I reason that it is closely connected but do we have direct evidence?
Second taks is to dig for evidence that the frames were in place at the islands within the time range we have for the EMB pics.

Counted as a blessing, Anons. Gud werk leads to moar challenges. There is enough substance in the overall digging on these London Pics that getting over the finish line will be worth it.
