Shheeettttt… Ours were Sheet Metal, and either hot as hell, or ice cold. Sometimes they would get a Rivet or an edge that popped up, and it would slice you on the way past. Always a hole of some sort at the bottom, either filled with dust, or mud.
Done even get me on the Monkey Bars they built, with Concrete holding the steel Poles in the Ground, and Gravel underneath them!
