FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE 18-20 YEARS OLD:

 

Government-issued picture ID.

 

FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE:

 

Marriages of persons under 16 years of age are only permitted when there is a pregnancy and when a Childrenโ€™s or Family Court Judge has authorized the marriage.

 

FEE DUE AT TIME OF APPLICATION:

 

Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) in cash, payable at the time of application. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

MARRIAGES MAY BE PERFORMED ONLY IN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

 

The marriage license is good indefinitely, but must be returned with the certification after the ceremony is performed. Whomever performs the marriage is responsible for returning the license with certification to the County Clerk where it was issued for recording with 90 days.
