ok, you know big words like epigenetics. yay for you. you even make noises that insinuate you have some slight clue what it means. good on you. bottom line, evolution DOES occur, even if the slow process of natural selection isn't the only or even the dominant mechanism. and BTW, evolution is NOT inconsistent with the bible. perhaps the authors thought quantum electrodynamics, prebiological evolution, and epigenetics were a tad over the head of the local audience of illiterate goat fucking camel jockeys, hence we get stories like "let there be light," and God created man from a lump of clay. not a contradiction, merely a more detailed elucidation, fruit of the brain God gave us.
