So some Level 10 Nerd is tasked with retrieval. They find it based on position of cellphone near water. Nerd then brings laptop into repair shop.

Now there’s likely some NDA stuff here, but basically data is returned and a set of instructions is followed to ensure data gets to where it needs to go.
