The techies only forced the issue and perhaps a cynical person would suggest 'authorities' made the decision that he has served his purpose - New controlled sleazes were out there for a new generation of kids to fawn over. Maybe his computer died on purpose by remote on purpose bug?

Glitter maybe paid the price to 'prove' authorities were on the side of the public. Savile too paid a price - when he died - and also had served his purpose. Two old guys that only get exposed at the end of their 'reign'.

How about the authorities expose the new generation of criminal sleazes, in the entertainment industry and elsewhere? They're not old eccentrics that are easy to be repulsed by. They are young, cool, influential. Expose them - in their prime.
