Donald Trump: Biden Family âCorrupt as Hellâ for Pursuing Deals in China
President Donald Trump criticized former Vice President Joe Biden at a campaign rally in North Carolina on Thursday afternoon for allowing his son, Hunter, to pursue deals with China.
He warned that Hunterâs foreign interests would mean his father, Joe Biden, would never hold China accountable for allowing the coronavirus to spread across the world.
âBiden is not going to make them pay. No. Heâs going to get cash. They paid his son a lot of money. Whatâs he going to do? ⌠Thatâs like common sense,â Trump said. âLook at the money theyâve taken out of China. I tell you what. He really is, heâs a corrupt politician.â
The president referred to a new story in the New York Post revealing emails from Hunter Biden to corporate interests in China, pursuing a $10 million salary for âintroductions aloneâ and a âMUCH MORE LASTING AND LUCRATIVE ARRANGEMENT,â which he referred to as âmuch more interesting to me and my family.â
âYesterday, we learned from newly released emails, and I want to thank the New York Post for showing real bravery, that Joe Biden has been blatantly lying about his involvement with his sonâs corrupt business dealings,â Trump said.
The president cited the new reports as further proof that Vice President Joe Biden was lying when he said he never discussed Hunterâs deals with foreign countries.
âThese corrupt forces, they donât see our nation as a protector of its citizens, but as a vehicle for personal profit and power at your expense, and you see it happening right now,â Trump said.
Biden, Trump said, was a corrupt politician who would continue putting his own interests ahead of those of the American worker.
âThey keep their jobs while outsourcing your jobs to other countries, countries that youâve never even heard about,â he said. âThey build walls from themselves while forcing your families to suffer the consequences of illegal immigration, drugs, and crime.â
The president also defied âBig Techâ social media companies for censoring the New York Post stories about the recovered emails.
âIâm going to say it more and more, and Facebook and all can try and shut us down, but you know what? Everybody knows it. ⌠Heâs corrupt as hell, and everybody knows it,â he said, referring to Biden.

House Republicans Ask Director Wray if FBI Was in Possession of Hunter Bidenâs Laptop During Trump Impeachment
House Republicans on Thursday sent a letter to Director Chris Wray asking if the FBI was in possession of Hunter Bidenâs laptop during the impeachment coup of President Trump.
âIf the FBI was, in fact, in possession of this evidence and failed to alert the White House to its existence that would have given even more weight to the presidentâs legal defense, this was a gross error in judgement and a severe violation of trust,â the letter says.
The letter was signed by 19 House Republicans, including Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz.; Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz.; and Jody Hice, R-Ga.

The lawmakers ask whether the FBI was in possession of the laptop and drive as documented in the Post, whether it took steps to authenticate the drive and the data, and if anyone at the FBI briefed officials at the Department of Justice or White House after December.
âWhy did the New York Post have the information about this laptop and hard drive before the American people?â it asks.
The New York Post on Wednesday dropped an October surprise on Joe Biden when they began releasing damning emails found on Hunter Bidenâs abandoned laptop hard drive.
The New York Post reported that a laptop computer abandoned at a Delaware repair shop contains emails between Hunter Biden and various foreign actors offering him money to have access to his VP daddy Joe.
According to The Post, the computer repair shop owner contacted the FBI and gave them Hunter Bidenâs laptop in December of 2019.

100 Hollywood Celebrities Demand NBC Reschedule Trump Town Hall: âDonât Give Trump a Ratings Winâ
As Facebook and Twitter continue to censor the New York Postâs bombshell stories on Hunter Biden, left-wing Hollywood celebrities are launching their own suppression initiative against NBC over the networkâs upcoming town hall broadcast with President Donald Trump.
Hollywood elites including J.J. Abrams, Aaron Sorkin, Ryan Murphy, Julianne Moore, Debra Messing, Seth MacFarlane, Sterling K. Brown, Mariska Hargitay, and Ava DuVernay are pressuring NBC to change the time slot for the Trump town hall, saying that the network is helping the Trump campaign by airing it at the same time as Joe Bidenâs town hall on ABC.
In a letter to NBC, more than 100 Hollywood actors, directors, writers, and producers demanded that NBC change the time it is airing the Trump town hall to either before or after ABCâs Biden town hall, which is set for today at 8 p.m.
âBy agreeing to air his town hall as counterprogramming opposite Vice President Bidenâs town hall on ABC, you are enabling the Presidentâs bad behavior while undercutting the Presidential Debate Commission and doing a disservice to the American public,â the letter states.
NBC has so far refused to change the broadcast time. âIf we were to move our town hall with President Trump to a later timeslot we would be violating our commitment to offer both campaigns access to the same audience and the same forum,â NBC Universal chairman Cesar Conde reportedly said in a statement.
The letter states:
We are a group of writers, actors, directors and producers. Many of us have been lucky enough to work for NBCUniversal at some point in our careers. Some of us are currently employed at your studio. We have always thought of NBCUniversal as both a terrific creative home and a brand that stands for the best in entertainment and broadcast journalism.
This is why we have been devastated to learn that you have chosen to air President Trumpâs town hall this Thursday night at 8 p.m., directly opposite Vice President Bidenâs town hall.
This is not a partisan issue. This is about the political health of our democracy.
President Trump refused to participate in the virtual debate scheduled for Thursday night by the Presidential Debate Commission. By agreeing to air his town hall as counterprogramming opposite Vice President Bidenâs town hall on ABC, you are enabling the Presidentâs bad behavior while undercutting the Presidential Debate Commission and doing a disservice to the American public.
We believe this kind of indifference to the norms and rules of our democracy are what have brought our country to this perilous state.
We are simply asking that NBC air the Presidentâs town hall either before or after Vice President Bidenâs so that American voters can have the opportunity to watch both.
We understand the necessities of business, especially in this difficult time. But we believe there are larger issues of civic responsibility at stake here.

Some celebrities including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Carrey and George Takei are taking things even further by telling people not to watch the NBC broadcast.

FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Backs Rulemaking to Reform Section 230
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai announced in a statement on Thursday that he will move forward with a rulemaking that would clarify Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
Pai announced his decision to move forward with a rulemaking to reform Section 230 as Twitter and Facebook censored a New York Post article saying that, contrary to Bidenâs claims, Biden allegedly met with an executive at Burisma when he was vice president. Hunter Biden, Joe Bidenâs son, reportedly arranged the meeting while he was working as a lobbyist for the company.
The social media giantsâ censorship engendered swift controversy, leading Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), two members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey over his decision to censor the Postâs story.
Pai noted in his statement that all public officials across the spectrum have expressed concerns about big techâs legal immunity in Section 230. He explained:
Members of all three branches of the federal government have expressed serious concerns about the prevailing interpretation of the immunity set forth in Section 230 of the Communications Act. There is bipartisan support in Congress to reform the law. The U.S. Department of Commerce has petitioned the Commission to âclarify ambiguities in section 230.â And earlier this week, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas pointed out that courts have relied upon âpolicy and purpose arguments to grant sweeping protections to Internet platformsâ that appear to go far beyond the actual text of the provision.
Pai then revealed that the FCCâs general counsel said the agency has the legal authority to interpret Section 230; therefore, the FCC chairman declared that he will move forward with a rule to clarify the Section 230. He said:
As elected officials consider whether to change the law, the question remains: What does Section 230 currently mean? Many advance an overly broad interpretation that in some cases shields social media companies from consumer protection laws in a way that has no basis in the text of Section 230. The Commissionâs General Counsel has informed me that the FCC has the legal authority to interpret Section 230. Consistent with this advice, I intend to move forward with a rulemaking to clarify its meaning.
Pai has long criticized censorship, often noting during the fight to repeal the Obama-era net neutrality regulations that social media companies censor much more than Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as Verizon or Comcast.

According to the New York Post Joe Bidenâs son Hunter brokered a meeting between his father and Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burismaâs board.
On Thursday afternoon the Biden Campaign admitted there was a âpossibilityâ the meeting with Pozharskyi likely took place.

MSM claiming President Xi Tells Troops to 'Prepare for War'
Tensions between the U.S. and China have been growing for years as a result of Chinaâs aggressive military moves in the East China Sea. In response, the U.S. has made a point of drawing closer to Taiwan, angering Beijing, which sees Taiwan as part of China.
Recently, President Xi Jinping addressed Red Army troops at a military base near Guandong. The official Chinese news agency made a point of quoting him extensively, which is unusual. Also unusual was the threatening tone of Xiâs speech.

Chinese troops should âput all [their] minds and energy on preparing for war,â President Xi Jinping said Tuesday during a visit to a Guandong military base.
In his visit, Xi said troops must âmaintain a state of high alertâ and remain âabsolutely loyal, absolutely pure, and absolutely reliable,â according to state news agency Xinhua, as reported by CNN.
The Chinese are not prone to making threatening statements of any kind. They are usually more elliptical in their threats and like to avoid words like âwar.â
But the U.S. is about to up the stakes by selling Taiwan some of our most advanced weapons systems, including the devastating High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). Any effort to improve Taiwanâs defenses is seen as an insult to the Chinese Communists who have been threatening to invade the tiny island for more than 70 years.

In a stern response from Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian called on Washington to âimmediately cancel any arms sales plans to Taiwanâ and cut all âUS-Taiwan military ties.â
Even though Taiwan has never been controlled by Chinaâs ruling Communist Party, authorities in Beijing insist the democratic, self-governing island is an integral part of their territory, with Xi himself refusing to rule out military force to capture it if necessary.
China sees Taiwan as unfinished business and its growing military power is a direct threat to the island. In 2017, the Chinese launched their very first aircraft carrier, designed and built by the Chinese government. Recently they have been carrying out provocative exercises near the border with Taiwan.
The Communist Chinese are dead serious about taking the island by force. The only things holding them back are U.S. security pledges.
Itâs an open question whether a Democratic president, House, and Senate would maintain our close relations with Taiwan and keep Communist China at bay. Barack Obama took a decidedly cool approach to U.S.-Taiwanese relations and there are some Democrats who have gone on record saying that protecting Taiwan isnât worth risking war with China. That kind of talk is music to Beijingâs ears. They would prefer that Washington abandon Taiwan and the islandâs leadership, realizing they had no hope of winning a war, striking a deal with the mainland.
Biden wouldnât âabandonâ Taiwan but the Communists would be more comfortable with him as president.
Donald Trump has been called the most âpro-Taiwan president in history.â He has thumbed his nose at the Communists by openly embracing Taiwanâs independent status. High-level officials in the American government, including HHS Secretary Alex Azar, have visited the island and pledged U.S. support.
What this adds up to is that Taiwan is safe for now. But conflict continues to be a possibility in the East China Sea as our allies remain under threat from the growing Chinese military presence in the region. Xiâs admonition to the troops to prepare for war is no empty threat. The Chinese are going for it and wonât let anyone â including the U.S. â stand in its way.
