New Social Media Accounts Pro-Tip and PSA

In light of the recent wave of the ban hammer, wanted to share a key ingredient with regard to creating new social media accounts. I’m not a pro but did play the cat n mouse game for a few years and this is what we found- if any pros can chime in on this would be very advantageous to the bigger accounts who got nuked.

If you are using a VPN to change IP that is one sure fire way to get your new account nuked even if you believe it to be 100% isolated from your old account.

The reason is that all account opening processes are analysed via services designed to detect fraud. For example Maxmind is one company widely used. You can check their literature to see their process for fraud detection, but it’s fairly simple stuff eg your location matches your details, etc etc.

These guys run a number of checks that will result in a score - a bad score means you failed to pass the checks (this is usually when credit cards are required to sign up for a service) and a good score means you get an account “that is in good standing.” Key words in quotations.

So, if you open an account with a VPN, you may get an account, but it will not be considered to be in good standing. The reason is that IP addresses from most VPNs are called “datacenter” IPs, and are considered amongst the lowest scoring IP addresses. Not all IPs are created equal.

The strongest types of IP are called “residential IPs” and these are indistinguishable from your home IP. Because that is what they are, home IP addresses. Fraud detection considers these as the strongest as most fraudsters are not going to use their home internet to commit fraud.

So, if you need a new account on one of the social media platforms after being banned, then do this:

Spin up a cheap VPS (NOT VPN) with a basic version of windows on it. Add CCleaner. Get a cheap burner phone if you need to phone verify.

Open a browser window and add a residential IP VPN service. These are VPNs that specialise in providing residential IPs not datacenter IPs.

One example of a provider of these types of IPs is ProxyRental.net. There are many others. They are way more expensive than regular VPNs so you will need to consider this, however they offer a 2 hour free trial which is plenty of time to open an an account or ten.

Use this IP every time you login, and whilst I can’t guarantee how long you will keep this account (will depend on your behaviour of course but will not be linked to your previous account unless you make that obvious), your new account will be far more robust.

If you have to create a new account, run CCleaner on the VPN then change IP, and go again.

Obviously this in addition to the other things you need like all new credentials etc.

Godspeed anons.
