He's also well prepped to authenticate. Has independent, not-revealed evidence that corroborates details. Not corroborating lurid details, but enough to authonticate contents as belonging to Hunter.
And, Hunter's lawyer recently appeared at the repair shop asking to claim his client's property. ROTFL, and Rudy was too.
"Media malpractice," as a point of some mythical ideal where the press tries to give the public an accurate impression of reality, the malpractice is part of everyday life. Media malpractice is the way it has always been - it's normal for the press to mislead and advocate for its preferred outcome.
What's new is all of the press has the same persuasion, so the public doesn't get the benefit of a healthy adversarial environement where the public gets competing views from approximate equals.
