My best friend died today. Cancer. Last month we were having a conversation and the political environment and bullshit was really dragging her down. The only thing I could say in response to her pain and grief was “God wins. Don’t ever let go of that.” She cried and I felt really bad, tried to comfort her and she told me she was crying because I had told her that. It gave her peace.
