Looks like Podesta was in Beijing in October 2014 with 'special envoy for climate change' Todd Stern.
"Podesta and Stern had written to him seeking his help in arranging a meeting with Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli."
"Chinese leadership was "quite supportive"of the joint announcement, but had some "specific requirements" which Zhang Gaoli had conveyed to President Obama in New York."
"Xie said he would "tell Podesta a specific number-for Chinese post-2020 emissions reduction target during the upcoming visit."
"Xie noted that a key component of Chinese plan to limit coal in Chines energy supply was developing nuclear supply."
Podesta negotiating on hussein/clinton's behalf? The "post 2020" time frame was probably anticipated to be HRCs second term. kek. Next Question: When were Gaoli and hussein in NY at the same time and why?
