Giuliani isn't the kind of guy with the tech skills to work with a bare harddrive. He may have gone out and bought a computer of the same (or close) make and model and had someone install his cloned copy into it.

Dirt on Trump political opponent coming from a (slightly hostile) foreign nation to help Trump win the election. And Trump's allies would be be lying about the true source.
Think about it.
The only thing they can do is have Biden drop out days before the election and suggests to the electors who the name 'Biden' won that they should vote for some other specific person who they trot out as Biden's replacement.
But ultimately, I suspect, their goal is to say that the election was illegitimate, that there should be a do-over, and then use the historical laughter from Trump as an excuse to deploy every rioter and domestic terrorist they have to burn the country to the ground.

Basically the same thing.
At the Federal level, electors are allowed to vote for whoever the hell they want (within parameters: age, citizenship, etc). This is true in a normal election and in whatever hypotheticals we dream up. There are no rules governing what happens if Joe croaks.
But at the State level… things could get interesting.
I'd settle for images with the naughty bits blurred out. This includes "more serious" stuff that Rudy mentioned. We don't need to see everything. We just need the gist of what it's about.
The election is not gonna be canceled. But If Biden keels over 2 days before there will likely be calls to delay it. And when that doesn't happen… riots to keep people from in-person voting.

I think they gave up after Don Jr didn't take the bait. The NNN guy attended a dinner with Don Jr in which he intended to hand the evidence directly to him. From the vid (sorry, can't find it now) it doesn't sound like he was successful.
After the kerfuffle that the Trump Tower meeting caused Don now knows better than to accept dirt on political opponents from strangers. But that was the greatest success that the other side has ever had. So naturally they would want to repeat it.
If I were an idiot trying to plan an op to entrap Trump in a scandal about his "dangerous embrace of conspiracy theories" it would look exactly like this.
