Let's expand your thinking a little. The nearest galaxy is 25 million light years away. Light travels at 186,282.4 miles per second. There are 31,536,000 seconds in a year. Multiply them together and you get…

5,874,601,766,400 miles that the light travels in one year.

But the nearest galaxy isn't 5,874,601,766,400 miles away it's 25 MILLION times farther than that.

Now, where are you saying these little green men came from?

Dude, you're not paying attention. If these little green men traveled at the speed of light it would take them 25 million years to get here.

I don't know about you but a road trip of even a few weeks is way more than I have the attention span for.
