The Media Action Network obtained these emails from the owner of a Delaware computer repair shop, John Mac Isaac, who said that a man he believed was a “wasted” Hunter Biden had dropped off the computer in mid-2019, then never responded to multiple emails and phone calls to retrieve it.
In Delaware, after 90 days of abandonment the computer legally became the property of Mr. Isaac. On reading the emails it contained, he became alarmed that it appeared to contradict the “conspiracy theory” narrative regarding President Trump’s impeachment. He then contacted the FBI.
Mr. Isaac said he turned the computer over to the FBI in response to this subpoena, dated December 17, 2019, but kept a copy of the information for himself.
Months later, after the FBI provided no reason to suggest it was acting, Mr. Isaac notified federal officials, including Sen. Mike Lee of Utah. After not receiving a response, he later contacted Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York and the president’s attorney, and eventually some media outlets.
When we first spoke to him and received the attached emails, Mr. Isaac had received no indication that any media outlet was interested in pursuing the matter. We have had no contact with Rudy Giuliani or anyone related to his investigation."
