They are freaking out because all those seeds of Truth that were planted are pushing their way into the conscious mind. They ARE losing their minds, but the minds they are losing are the lies and falsehoods upon which they based their lives. It's terrifying for them.

It's scary to 'wake up' - I remember it, feeling like I was walking on Jello in an earthquake. Nothing stable, steady or anything I could definitively relay on, hold onto since everything was now in question.

You will be the steady thing they can hold onto. The lighthouse they can see from the edge of the storm. Consciously they resent it, but deep inside it's the only thing that is real.

Be there for them, no matter how ridiculous their lashing out is. They are terrified. And when those sprouts DO break into their conscious minds, they will be mad as HELL.

Remember that? I do.

Be there for them then, too.

Let them rant and rage - most of it you will know and remember being mad about, too, when you found out how much you were lied to.

Just let them rant, they have a right to be angry and filled with rage about being lied to about everything by those they trusted.

"I toldya so" feels good in the moment, especially if they treated you like crap, but that's damaging medium and long-term. When they DO have the breakthrough and are filled with grief (their old world died and wasn't real, but they based their identity and worldview on it) and rage (it was an illusion spun by those who actually hated and used them but really hate them) they have switched "sides" so to speak.

Don't alienate, no matter how much you want to tell them off for treating you like crap (maybe for years).

They will be a strong ally because the betrayal was so deep and thorough. We need every one who 'wakes up'.
