I will tell you after growing up in the swamp, when I was 14 I was solicited by Congreesmen that my father had invited to his cocktail / BBQ pool parties and holiday parties. I told my mother and she quickly removed me from harm. Both party affiliated. There were many times my mother used to say she'd wished her husband would burn his bridges for a change. I also didn't know that when in college I was offered andrenochrome in a shot glass. I did drink it. Maryland/DC Potomac parties were so bad looking back. Definitely a pattern.
