Anon was struggling with completely severing ties with western medicine for his chronic disease. Walking through the yard today, anon noticed a pretty weed. While examining it and learning that it was the perfect herbal to treat the disease, anon got a reminder text from medical specialist about appt coming up in a few days (scheduled a year ago).

Press 1 to confirm, press 2 to cancel.

Name of the plant is Jesusplant.

Anon pressed 2 and felt at peace with the decision. Felt like God spoke to me. Make sense?

Yep. It's in a family known as "smartweeds".

Picked young tender leaves in the rain today and ate them fresh, not too peppery.

Definitely going to harvest a bunch and dry them for tea, as recommended. Funny to find them growing less than 50 feet from my"deadly" sassafrass grove.

/s for sure, hence the "quotes"

You know the FDA banned sassafras from being used to make products for sale in the US in 1978?

It has a very beneficial compound in in called safrole. It's considered as sacred to North American natives as Cinchona is to South American natives.

The FDA shot up a rat with safrole until it got cancer and then banned it from the food stream. Nothing better for a spring tonic though.
