variable organs.
inside the brain the pain centers contain structures and mirror neurons that are identical in all of us, hence empathy and compassion.
It is only our conditioning (our culture, environment education, ect ) that separates us.
That's why when another is hurt, you feel the pain of it, of course this can be overcome and that's why psychopaths exist.

No effort or meditation is required, In fact it's not that it takes no effort, it's that no errort is a requirement, look into yourself and simply observe, see that your thoughts come from your memory's in sort of a mechanical way, then
when your thought naturally subside,
observe something, a tree or flower or a person
without words or thoughts.
Things should look exactly the same visually.
Only your perception of it changes.
My experience was a love and happiness so powerful I could not bear it for very long.
