H.R.6168 - Veterans' Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2020

>This bill directs the Department of Veterans Affairs to increase, as of December 1, 2020, the rates of veterans' disability compensation, additional compensation for dependents, the clothing allowance for certain disabled veterans, and dependency and indemnity compensation for surviving spouses and children.

The percentage increase in benefits shall be the same as the cost-of-living increase for Social Security recipients.

Senate Judiciary Committee to Call Twitter, Facebook Over Censorship of New York Post Articles

WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) announced the committee would consider authorizing subpoenas to compel testimony from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg regarding the platforms’ censorship of New York Post articles.

The subpoena authorization will be first listed on the agenda for the Committee’s executive business meeting on October 22, 2020. Committee staff continues to negotiate with both Twitter and Facebook to allow for voluntary testimony. If an agreement for voluntary testimony is not reached, the committee will vote on authorizing the subpoenas at a date to be determined.
